Burbeary Joinery

History

Celebrating 40 Years of Service in 2026

ALL ABOUT OUR COMPANY

Burbeary joinery was formed by our founder Roger Burbeary who started the company in a small unit in 1986 on clay wheels lane, Sheffield. We have grown and progressed to our current site in Beighton with a 20,000 square foot capacity which incorporates our showroom.

On Friday 27th February 2015 and after 29 years at the helm Roger Burbeary deservedly decided to retire. The business was bought out by then general manager Jason Firth who started as a YTS trainee in 1988 and then foreman Mark Anderson who have been serving Burbeary Joinery as in various roles since 1988!

“An elegant staircase plays a big part in setting the tone of your home. No longer is your kitchen or bathroom the main focus as usually the first thing you see when entering a home is the staircase, so make that statement count.”

Staircases

Our high quality products are specified by some of Britain’s leading house builders and our expertise is well within the range of private homeowners, whether refurbishing or self-building.

Design

Our craftsmen will be on hand all through the process to help and advise on each aspect, transferring your ideas to plans and detailed design, whatever style you may require.

Great firm, we purchased a staircase from them some time ago which fitted perfectly - pretty amazing as they never visited -all done using our plans. The company noticed a potential problem, rang and asked me to check a measurement. They are amazing. I recently visited the website as I have passed a recommendation to a very good friend.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had new oak handrails, posts, base rails and black iron spindles from burbeary joinery. Delighted and Mark and the team couldn't have been more helpful recommending joiners and French polisher. Top quality products, good value and the transformation is outstanding. Would recommend you make these your first place to consider.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mark designed the new oak staircase that we requested as part of our refurbishment. He was happy to come out more than once to take measurements to ensure the staircase was created correctly. Superb quality product and a superb service.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My Joiner recommended Burbeary Joinery to me as he had fitted their staircases before and has always been impressed.

From start to finish this company was 5 stars.

Good, responsive feedback and communication throughout, a quality product, reasonable price, delivered on time.

I don't often need staircases but the next time I do, I will be a returning customer. Highly recommend.

Adam in York.
